Lapis Blue Martingale Collar

Our Lapis Blue martingale collar features watery shades from the lightest blue to inky indigo. Hints of black and white add further depth to this relaxing colour palette. Your choice of cornflower blue or navy blue Swiss velvet lining adds a touch of luxury and richness to the design. The velvet is very soft and comfortable against your dog’s neck. Perfect for the delicate necks of sighthounds and short-haired breeds.

We finish the collar with your choice of solid brass or nickel-plated silver. Brass gives you a traditional and opulent finish, whereas silver is more modern and contemporary in its look and feel.

Our Lapis Blue design is reminiscent of fabrics used by migratory tribes who move, live and trade across many arid wastelands and deserts throughout the world. It’s a truly unique fabric sourced from South America. The woven characteristics of the fabric give this martingale collar a very relaxed, hippy vibe.

Available with a full and reduced loop

Martingale collars have a unique design that keeps your dog from escaping or backing out of its collar. The reduced loop version has a slightly narrower control loop in comparison to the full loop version. For Lapis Blue specifically, the reduced loop is made from your choice of cornflower blue or navy blue Swiss velvet. A full loop is only available in the Lapis Blue fabric (not velvet).

When in situ, this martingale collar will loosely sit around your dog’s neck. If and when they pull, the full or reduced loop will tighten, exerting a gentle pressure around your hound’s neck. This action doesn’t hurt, giving you a safe and effective way to manage a dog that can easily slip their collar – especially useful for sighthounds who have long, thin, delicate necks.

This type of collar is perfect for walking or training dogs and is especially helpful when caring for shy or timed hounds whose first instinct is to buck their collar when nervous. Martingale collars are becoming more popular with other breeds too.

This collar is available in a 1″, 1.5″ or 2” and in six sizes: Small, Small-Medium, Medium, Large and Extra-Large.

Caring for your Bedouin collar

If your bedouin collar soils, we recommend hand washing or spot cleaning the soiled area. Also, please do not tumble dry – leave your collar to air dry instead.
