Made from 100% cotton, our Saltburn martingale collar is made from old-fashioned steamer fabric, just like the type you find in vintage deckchairs. Inspired by Saltburn-on-the Sea in Yorkshire, this fabric is bright, cheerful and full of Victorian charm and nostalgia.
Pastel shades of turquoise blue, salmon pink, and tangerine conjure up thoughts of suntans and sunsets. It really does transport you back to family days out at the seaside. The fabric we use is 100% cotton and high-quality steamer fabric from a British manufacturer. It looks stunning on all dog breeds and is perfect for bright, cheerful personalities.
When ordering your Saltburn, you can choose to line your martingale collar with either Tangerine or Turquoise Swiss velvet lining to add a touch of luxury and softness. We finish your collar with nickel-plated silver hardware for a modern contemporary look.

Martingale collars have a unique design that keeps your dog from escaping or backing out of their collar, no matter how hard they pull. When in situ, this martingale collar sits loosely around your dog’s neck. If and when they pull, the martingale loop will tighten, exerting a gentle pressure around your hound’s neck. This action doesn’t hurt, giving you a safe and effective way to manage a dog that can easily slip their collar – especially useful for sighthounds who have long, thin, delicate necks.
This type of collar is perfect for walking or training dogs and is especially helpful when caring for shy or timed hounds whose first instinct is to buck their collar when nervous.

Caring for your Deckchair Stripe Collar
If your collar becomes soiled, we recommend that you hand wash or spot clean the soiled area. You can place this collar in a laundry bag and wash it on a 30º delicate cycle. Do not tumble dry – leave it to air dry on a flat surface instead.
