How a martingale collar works
Martingale collars have a unique design that keeps your dog from escaping or backing out of its collar. Your martingale collar will sit loosely around your dog’s neck. If and when they pull, the martingale loop will tighten, exerting gentle pressure around their neck. This action doesn’t hurt, meaning our martingale collars are a safe and effective way to manage a dog that slips its collar easily. Essentially, martingales are perfect for walking or training dogs and can be especially helpful when caring for shy or timed hounds (whose first instincts are to buck their collar when nervous).
