Hickory Tweed is a beautiful autumnal tweed for urban dogs who love a trendy lifestyle. This martingale collar is handmade using the finest tweed wool. For added luxury, the inside is lined with your choice of either chocolate or rust Swiss velvet lining and finished with solid brass or silver nickel-plated hardware. You can purchase this collar in one of three widths to suit most dog breeds. Style with matching leads and accessories to complete the Hickory Tweed look from Doggy Boho.
The Hickory Tweed martingale collar is one of our more modern Tweed plaids. This particular tweed features earthy autumn tones that add a cosy, warm, understated glow to your hounds winter wardrobe. It is ideal for urban hounds who live a trendy lifestyle.
The rustic plaid radiates tradition by injecting orange, red and yellow ochre overcheck onto the brown block weave. You can choose to line this collar with Chocolate or Rust velvet to add a touch of softness and luxury to your hound’s neck attire. Then opt for solid brass hardware or nickel-plated silver. Solid brass gives a traditional country life look, whereas silver gives you a modern urban feel.
Available with a full or reduced martingale loop
Martingale collars have a unique design that keeps your dog from escaping or backing out of its collar. The reduced loop version has a slightly narrower control loop in comparison to the full loop version. In this particular design, the full loop is made using Hickory Tweed. The reduced loop is made using your choice of rust or chocolate Swiss velvet.
How a martingale collar works
Your martingale collar will sit loosely around your dog’s neck. If and when they pull, the martingale loop will tighten, exerting a gentle pressure around their neck. This action doesn’t hurt, meaning our martingale collars are a safe and effective way to easily manage a dog that slips its collar. Essentially, martingales are perfect for walking or training dogs and can be especially helpful when caring for shy or timed hounds (whose first instincts are to buck their collar when nervous).

This martingale collar is available in three widths: 1″, 1.5″ or 2” and in six sizes: Extra-Small, Small, Small-Medium, Medium, Large and Extra-Large lengths.

Caring for your tweed collar
We recommend hand washing or spot cleaning the soiled area. Also, please do not tumble dry. Leave your collar to air dry instead.
