Our Black Swiss Velvet Martingale Collar is sumptuously soft and luxurious. As the name suggests, this collar is made from a premium quality velvet made in Switzerland. Despite its softness, the velvet is sturdy and will resist everyday wear and tear.

Black velvet is a classic colour and suits our sophisticated hounds. The collar is finished with your choice of solid brass or nickel plated hardware. Choose solid brass for a classic, traditional look. Opt for nickel plated silver if you would prefer a modern contemporary finish.

Martingale collars have a unique design which keeps your dog from escaping or backing out of their collar. Your  Black Velvet Martingale Collar will sit loosely around your dogs neck. If and when they pull, the martingale loop will tighten exerting a gentle pressure around their neck. This action doesn’t hurt, meaning our martingale collars are a safe and effective way to manage a dog who slips their collar easily. Essentially, martingales are perfect for walking or training dogs, and can be especially helpful when caring for shy or timed hounds (whose first instincts are to buck their collar when nervous).

This collar is available in three sizes; 1″, 1.5″ or 2” widths and in six sizes: Extra-Small, Small, Small/Medium, Medium, Large and Extra-Large.
